STATE REQUIREMENTS FOR YOUR ANIMALS

The state of Missouri requires every horse and mule traveling in Missouri to have a current NEGATIVE COGGINS TEST and out of state animals will also need a 30 day health certificate. Missouri requires that a coggins test be run annually to be current. You will be asked to show these documents upon entering our grounds and before you will be allowed to register. This is a state law and is strictly enforced by Cross Country Trail Ride.

STALLS
We have 2,470 newly built covered stalls available to rent. The stalls are 7’x10’, covered, with a gate. We require the use of stalls and do not allow picket lines, panels, or pens of any type.  The stall fees are $25 per stall which covers the length of your stay.

THE TRAILS
Our trails consist mostly of old logging roads through some of the most scenic country in the beautiful Missouri Ozarks. They will take riders across the Jack’s Fork and Current Rivers which are known throughout the country as two of the most pristine and scenic rivers in the United States. They are well cut, but the terrain is rocky and very hilly; most horses will require shoes. Even the most inexperienced rider can ride the trails without danger of injury.

CAN WE RENT A CAMPER?
Yes. Contact Keith Smith (573) 718-4782 between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

MAY I BRING MY DOG?

Cross Country Trail Ride does not allow any dogs on the premises except during specified event dates. These dates for the 2018 season include: July 4-7 and August 31-September 3.

Cross Country Trail Ride supports and welcomes all Service Dogs, but this does mean service dogs only. We will not allow guests to bring pets or certain emotional support dogs during non-dog events. Although we will not ask what your disability is we expect you to have an approved disability and that your dog performs a task for that disability. Please Note: Just because you have a certificate from over the internet or a service dog vest does not automatically make your dog a service dog.

If you have a service dog that needs to be with you during your stay with us we require that you register the dog with our office upon your arrival. You are expected to follow the ADA requirements for controlling your dog in public. You will be expected to maintain control of the dog at all times, the dog will be expected to be leashed at all times it is outside of your trailer, the dog will not be allowed to bark unless performing the task it is trained for, the dog will not be allowed to disturb other guests or in any way impair another guest’s stay with us. In the event there is an issue with a dog, the owner will be given one warning to correct the issue. If a second complaint is lodged against the same animal the owner will be asked to remove the animal from our premises and find other arrangements for it during the remainder of their stay. No refunds will be issued if the owner decides to leave with the animal.
